URGENT: Bills would block us from cutting tailpipe, power plant pollution!

Bad legislation moving forward at the General Assembly would get in the way of Virginia’s efforts to cut our two largest contributors to climate change: power plants, and the transportation sector, which account for nearly 80 percent of our total carbon output.

House Bill 2269 and House Bill 2611 would put fossil fuel interests and big polluters first by blocking us from joining the Transportation and Climate Initiative and Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, respectively. With these efforts already underway in Virginia, it’s important we continue our work cutting emissions from both tailpipes and power plants.

Contact your lawmaker today and urge them to oppose legislation taking us in the wrong direction on climate!
