Since its founding in 2000, the Virginia League of Conservation Voters has issued an annual General Assembly Conservation Scorecard, the only comprehensive tool available for Virginia’s environmental and conservation community to gauge how their interests are being represented in Richmond. In 2022, Virginia LCV also added comprehensive rankings of Virginia’s Governor alongside our legislative scores for lawmakers – expanding and deepening our accountability efforts to ensure that protecting our environment is a priority at all levels of government.

The legislative scores below on this page represent a lawmaker’s latest score from the 2023 legislative session as well as their career ranking. The full 2023 Scorecard is available for download.   • There are currently four vacancies in the General Assembly due to resignations, so scores for those lawmakers (Bagby, HD74; Clark, HD79; Anderson, HD83; and Davis, HD84) do not auto-populate in the below listings but are in our full document.
