Help hold polluters accountable and protect our coast!

In 2019, Virginia has the opportunity to join the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative and turn carbon pollution into funding to protect our coast, reduce energy usage, and retool our workforce for a modern, green economy by passing the Coastal Protection Act (Senate Bill 1666).

At the same time, legislation (House Bill 2611) would take us the wrong direction by barring Virginia from participating in RGGI and cutting carbon emissions, when we need to be taking strong climate action.

The climate crisis is only getting worse, which is why need strong policies to address both the root cause of climate change and its symptoms. Contact your lawmaker today and urge their support of SB 1666 and their opposition to HB 2611!
