The Virginia League of Conservation Voters serves as the political voice of the state’s conservation community, working to make sure Virginia’s elected officials recognize that our natural heritage is an environmental and economic treasure for all.
Virginia LCV elects conservation leaders to statewide office and strives for a conservation majority in state government. We secure good public policies on the state level and hold public officials accountable for their positions on environmental issues.
Virginia LCV protects resources important to all Virginians: clean air and water, thriving communities and rural landscapes, productive farms and forests, historic battlefields and Main Streets, and ample public lands and recreation.
Yet our advocacy to pass and defend laws that preserve air, water and open space is not enough. We must elect officials committed to conservation and willing to provide consistent leadership to improve Virginia’s environment.
As a force for conservation in Richmond, Virginia LCV adds great value to the work of our conservation partners in Virginia.
Virginia LCV supports the mission and vision of the Virginia Environmental Justice Collaborative: A Clean, Healthy, Just and Equitable Environment for all Virginians.
