Rachel Dyer is a senior fundraising and development leader with more than 10 years of experience building sustainable revenue strategies for mission-driven organizations and civic institutions. Over the course of her career, she has helped raise more than $72 million by designing high-impact fundraising programs, cultivating major donors, and leading complex, multi-stakeholder development efforts. She is the founder of Dyer Strategies, a Virginia-based fundraising and compliance consulting firm that partners with nonprofits, advocacy organizations, and civic leaders to strengthen philanthropic infrastructure, expand donor engagement, and scale long-term growth.
Previously, Dyer held senior development leadership roles on statewide initiatives, where she built record-setting fundraising operations, managed large cross-functional teams, and executed hundreds of revenue-generating events. She is a founding member of New Leaders Council of Virginia, serves on the board of the Virginia Association of Fundraising Executives, and is Development Director for the VCU Political Science Alumni Board. Rachel lives in Richmond, Virginia with her dog, River, and when she’s not working, you can find her on the water in her hometown in the Northern Neck or passionately debating the oyster wars.
