While Big Tech rakes in billions from the AI boom, everyday Virginians are paying the price, which is why we’re rightfully fed up.
It’s time for action, and until we have strong laws in place that put Virginians – not Big Tech – first, no more data center projects should move forward.
We, the undersigned, call on Governor Spanberger and the Virginia General Assembly to implement a “Pause” on data center approvals in Virginia until we have the laws and regulations in place to hold the data center industry accountable in a way that protects our environment, advances our clean energy goals, lowers energy costs, and respects communities.
