A somewhat relentless – but so far, unsuccessful – push to extend trade secrets to fracking companies could be decided in the coming weeks as our state’s Freedom of Information Advisory Council weighs in on whether to recommend flawed legislation to shield oil and gas drillers from chemical disclosure requirements.
To date, Virginia LCV has helped defeat these efforts in the General Assembly. We’re trying to get ahead of this fight as part of our ongoing work to protect the Taylorsville Basin’s clean water resources.
