Tell your Delegate to support responsible coal ash cleanup!

After clearing House committee, the House of Delegates is set will take up Senate Bill 1398, which requires utilities in the Bay watershed to give state regulators full assessments of their coal ash sites. These would include information about ongoing water pollution, options for clean closure and recycling of coal ash waste, and the long-term safety of these sites from extreme weather events or erosion.

With millions of tons of this waste currently stored on our riverbanks, there’s a lot at stake. Your Delegate needs to hear from you – this is our best shot of preventing years of toxic pollution.
